Advantages of Having a Freelance career in Telecom

If you are a recent graduate in telecommunications engineering, you are probably thinking of getting a job in this telecommunications company that you have been monitoring since you joined the university as a promising young student. Well, there is nothing wrong with wanting to work in a white or blue color job, but you will miss the new trend. The chances are that you will do the work and the years go by, you will not like your work and end up hating it. This study shows that the number of careers in freelance telecommunications is increasing year after year. Most people attribute it to lack of flexibility in traditional employment, fatigue, lack of exposure among other contributing factors.

So what are the benefits you have to gain if you sign up as a telecommunication freelancer?

 Flexibility

You have control over the hours you want to work or the hours that are right for you. The fact that the people you work for are not essentially your employees, but rather your customers make all the difference to working in a traditional job. You will also be able to accept the terms and conditions of each project you decide to work on.

  Exposure

Since the independent market attracts customers from all walks of life with a wide variety of projects, as a freelancer in telecommunications, you are exposed to projects that match your skills or a unique project that encourages you to become more innovative. Depending on how you run your projects, the timing of delivery as well as the level of satisfaction of your customers, you will get your favorite customers. It is like having several employers something that is not feasible if you work in the traditional job of 9 to 5 years.

 Skills development

Because of the exposure you get, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills. Over time, you will work on different projects that will require you to think outside of your comfort zone. During the process, you will have the opportunity to improve your skills and acquire new ones. As you accumulate new skills, you will also gain the reputation of the industry, and you will soon have enough skills for companies to look for you instead of presenting them. Freelance marketplace will give complete exposure of your skills to the world.

 Control your workload

Something that traditional jobs do not offer is the ability to say when that is enough. With telecom freelancing, you master your workload. If you have too much on your plate, you can choose not to undertake other projects or connect to new customers. You can also set your own productivity goals and, as research from Kansas State University shows, working more than 50 hours a week will impact your mental and physical health. So you work on what your body can support, reduce fatigue and stay healthy; it's not better than that.

 Financial freedom

An average freelancer in the telecommunications industry will earn double or triple what a full-time employee in the same industry will earn. In addition, you enter the market as an expert, so you will be able to negotiate higher rates. You can also get a customer who will pay you on an hourly rate as opposed to the fixed rate of the project. Regardless of how you look, the compensation you receive is more than working in a full-time job.

 Get a complete exposure

In addition to the above benefits, the independent market will also help you to get a lot of exposure, the kind that you will not get to work on at a traditional job from 9 to 5. You will be exposed to a wide range of clients, a wide range of projects that help develop your skills, a chance to earn higher income. You are also exposed to a platform where you can negotiate your rates according to the specialty of your skills. Your customers will also have the opportunity to leave comments regarding their interaction with you and the quality of your services. These reviews are in the public domain for future clients to see, giving you a global exposure of your skills.
